The Quarti 9-Frame Langstroth Hive is a premium high-density EPS (expanded polystyrene) hive manufactured in Italy by Quarti, a company with over 45 years of experience producing insulated beehives.

Designed with the same external dimensions as a standard 10-frame Langstroth hive, this brood box holds 9 Langstroth brood frames internally while remaining fully compatible with standard Langstroth floors, supers, queen excluders and accessories. This makes it an excellent choice for beekeepers looking to benefit from improved bee space and colony management without changing equipment systems.

Its superior insulation helps colonies maintain a more stable brood nest temperature throughout the year, encouraging earlier spring build-up, improved wintering performance and reduced energy consumption by the bees.

Painting & Care

The hive is supplied in white EPS polystyrene. While fully usable as supplied, painting the exterior with a suitable water-based masonry or acrylic paint is strongly recommended to provide additional UV protection and prolong the lifespan of the hive.

Do not paint internal surfaces.
